Launch of finance.swiss information portal

07.12.2020

On 7 December 2020 the Swiss Federal Department of Finance and Federal Department of Foreign Affairs launched a new information platform, ‘finance.swiss’, in collaboration with key players from Switzerland’s financial centre. The platform is targeted at an international audience and aims to highlight the framework conditions and other qualities that make Switzerland’s financial sector such an attractive business location compared to its global competitors.

Occupying a web address of the same name, finance.swiss is intended to serve as a single point of contact for information on Switzerland as a financial centre and to publicise and promote its activities to an overseas audience. Providing accessible information about Switzerland as a financial centre is key to achieving one of the objectives of the financial market policy presented by the Federal Council on 4 December 2020.

From the governmental side, the portal is coordinated by the State Secretariat for International Finance Matters and Presence Switzerland, the office within the FDFA responsible for communication abroad. The financial sector is represented by the Swiss Bankers Association, the Asset Management Association, the financial market infrastructure operator SIX, Zurich Insurance and the reinsurer Swiss Re.
