GFCI: Switzerland’s Financial Centre ranked Number 1 in Continental Europe

Switzerland has been recognised as a leading European and global financial centre in the latest edition of the Global Financial Centres Index.

Financial Centres Ranking 

In the 2020 edition of the index, New York remained the largest and most important financial centre in the world, ahead of London and Shanghai. Zurich made a return to the top ten this year, making it the most important financial centre in mainland Europe. With Geneva ranked in 14th place, Switzerland has a second financial centre in the top 20, ahead of both Frankfurt and Paris.

Global Financial Centres Index 

The GFCI is published by Z/Yen Partners in collaboration with the China Development Institute and is the most recognised and respected comparison of the competitiveness of global financial centres.
